An exciting week!

Week 19!

We had an exciting week, as we got to see our little one during the ultrasound! It was awesome to be actually see a completely formed human (just a small one!) inside of me. Everything looked good. We saw the heart beat, and saw the four chambers of the heart. We saw the ventricles pumping blood, we saw brain activity, and we definitely saw the little one move all over the place! It was flipping and twisting constantly. The ultrasound tech kept saying that we had a REALLY active baby! She would be looking at something and then the baby would flip and she couldn’t finish her analysis of that particular body part. I confirmed that I feel the baby move around all day and night!

Fun facts this week:

The baby is 9 inches long

He/ she weighs about 2/3 – 3/4 of a pound

The heartbeat was 140 bpm

The foot is 1 inch long

The ultrasound tech and my doctor are the only two people in this entire world that know if we are having a boy or a girl!

I have gained 8 pounds so far… You can tell in these pictures that I am defiantly getting bigger. I wore my first maternity shirt the other day- and so it all begins…. 🙂

The pictures of this week’s big growth are below. Please note that Matt is back with an appearance in the pictures! We went to Chicago over the weekend and Matt found some Jordan booties that were specifically for a girl. He HAD to buy them because he said he never sees any Jordan items for girls. This does not mean that we are having a girl- this is a just in case purchase, because God forbid our little one doesn’t have something Jordan! 🙂
